Introduction
Suwon Chicken Street is a 100-meter street lined with fried chicken restaurants that have been around since the 1970s when the first and original Suwon-style fried chicken restaurant opened. Suwon-style fried chicken is characterized by frying chicken in a big cauldron, and although they're only available in two variations, fried or marinated, they are still popular for their distinct taste. Maehyang Tongdak, Yongseong Tongdak, and Jinmi Tongdak are some of the most popular restaurants in this alleyway. The menus are more affordable than regular chicken brand restaurants, attracting students and family customers nationwide.
