This original musical is based on the bestselling novel Ostrich Boys by acclaimed British author Keith Gray. Upon its release, the novel became a sensation in the UK and was later successfully adapted as a play by the National Theater Company of Korea.
The story begins with the sudden death of 17-year-old Ross. His closest friends—Blake, Kenny, and Sim—are outraged by his hypocritical funeral service. Determined to give Ross the send-off he deserves, they steal his urn and embark on a 400-kilometer journey to the Scottish village of Ross, the place he had most longed to visit before his death.
This coming-of-age road musical follows three boys on an adventure to fulfill their friend’s final wish. It sensitively portrays teenagers who love one another yet sometimes inflict pain, as they navigate their journey toward discovering their true selves. The live band—featuring drums, bass, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar—vividly captures the unpredictable emotions of adolescence, x_heightening the play’s immersive power.
